Asus PadPhone put phone in box and the box is a tablet wow

The upcoming Asus PadPhone looks to combine the large screen and battery life of a tablet with the portability of a phone. Following the success of the Asus Eee Transformer, this product will probably be much affordable than buying two separate devices, not to mention the convenience of having all your apps and data in one place, rather than two.

For people who love both tablets and smartphones, this might be the perfect solution. One of the issues I have with it is that it looks a bit tiresome to open and close the smartphone latch. I’d like to see it lock into place like portable video game cartridges. Will this fresh idea see the same success as the Asus Transformer, or will it just become a fad?
