Can’t decide between buying a new laptop or tablet? Check out the Asus Eee Pad Transformer. Despite it’s awkwardly long and boring name, it’s actually quite nifty how you can dock the tablet to the keyboard.
This Android 3.0 Honeycomb Tablet has a dual core 1 GHz Tegra 2 CPU. The keyboard has USB slots and flash card reader slots.
It’s priced at $399 (tablet only) for the 16-GB version.
At first glance, it seems pretty cool to me. But couldn’t you get an external bluetooth keyboard with many of the existing tablets out there? You wouldn’t even have to dock it, you could type wirelessly. I’m not sure if this is really awesome, or if it’s just a gimmick for Asus to start a keyboard+tablet combo market space.
What’s your thoughts on this?
