funny. I actually came here after searching around for a way to bypass the error message.
I guess Fb just wants to ensure we check our posts more often.about 9 months ago · Report
This is now chronic for me, in Top News, where "There are no more posts to show right now" pops up after only a few posts showing. The problem is not happning in recent news, only Top News.

Got the same problem here. Not impressed! Is there any way to make a bug report about this?

It's getting progressively worse for me. Today, I've only been able to see ONE POST in News Feed for several hours. I have the same problem with Recent Posts, but not as bad yet. I have no idea how many posts I never get to see.

I just submitted a bug report. I found a link in the help section. Here is the place where the link is: http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=791

The link above takes you to a FAQ page, and I found the bug report link after I clicked the last FAQ topic, which is something like "My bug is not listed above"

I just received an auto reply requesting that I submit a screen shot. So I did. They did not, however, promise an individual reply to this, so I suggest that everyone having this problem should submit a bug report on it.
By the way, when I went to do a screen shot, the "older posts" button was there. However it disappeared when I switched from Top News to Most recent, and when I switched back it had disappeared again.about 5 months ago · Report
I just googled the problem with quotes around the infamous phrase. Here is a page with Facebooks "official" explanation.

Here is what it says:
Bugs and Delays
Facebook still has some kinks to work out with its new design. You may see errors like "There are no more posts to show right now" or "Oops: Something went wrong. We're working on getting this fixed as soon as we can. You may be able to try again". Fortunately, these errors are temporary (likely due to their system getting overloaded). I can only suggest waiting a moment and trying again.
If you keep seeing a problem, I suggest you go to the Help Center found under the Account menu. From there you will find a variety of FAQs, user forums, and a Bugs Troubleshooter where you can report issues directly to Facebook for resolution.about 5 months ago · Report
I noticed that the official explanation is on a page dated 4/23/10. Seems 7 months should be long enough to work out this "kink" in the new design, doesn't it? (And their suggestion - "waiting a moment and trying again" - doesn't work, at least for me.)

In addition to the bug report link posted by John (http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=791), here's another place to report this problem:http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=no_older_link

I have been getting this error message recently too. facebook does not want us to dwell in the past. A continual NOW is all that matters, apparently ;)
Pls give a shit and fix this, Facebook. Thanks.about 5 months ago · Report
So "There are no more posts to show right now" is a bug (that needs to be fixed)? I always thought it was by design, such that the Facebook servers don't fill up too quickly. Do you mean that the design calls for me to be able to view my News Feeds back to the beginning?
BTW, this statement shows up for me after about 3-5 clicks of "Older Posts", which means to me about a day or two worth of posts, by no means enough.
Of course, Facebook could help this problem by keeping the threads in the News Feed in Last Updated order like almost every Internet Forum out there!about 4 months ago · Report
Yeah, and mine shows "49 Most Recent" at the top, but when I click on it, there are only a few, and No More Posts.

One thing I have discovered is that if I grab the thumb (or scroll box--the thing that moves) in the vertical scroll bar along the right and drag it to the bottom, and click Older Posts, and I keep doing that, then I end up seeing fewer older posts than this other method I discovered:
Let's call the set of posts you first see in the newsfeed window chunk 1. Click repeatedly in the page down region of the scroll bar (the part below the thumb), as close to the down arrow button as possible. Then the page scrolls down a page-worth at a time, and when it hits bottom, Facebook reveals chunk 2, and you will see the thumb automatically move from the bottom of the scroll bar upwards to the middle or so. Then, again, click repeatedly until you hit bottom, and Facebook adds chunk 3. Eventually no more chunks are shown, and if you click Older Posts, it will say, "There are no more posts to show right now". This is still not true and therefore a bug. But I can see more of the older posts using this paging method that by dragging the thumb. I don't know why.about 4 months ago · Report
same here, I got this problem too!, and still keep trying to do it. I realy need the old post T T

If it's your own post you are looking for, you can find it under your Profile, and all your older posts are there. Same with any of your friends, go to their page and you can scroll down and see any of their older posts.
It's only the Nabout 4 months ago · Report
It's only the news feed that has this bug. With my news feed at present I can only see one page of posts, varies.
So you can find a post if you know who posted it. Where it gets tricky is if you don't remember who posted it e.g. an interesting photo you saw posted a couple of days ago and can't remember who posted it. If you didn't comment on it or like it yourself at the time then I don't know how you can find it again other than going through all your friends one at a time until you find it!
I too hope they fix this bug.about 4 months ago · Report
